Austin Social Tennis is kicking off the fall social tennis season with a free social tennis event at the UT Whitaker Tennis Courts featuring various tennis games. A FREE Thursday North Fall Social Tennis League registration (among other cool prizes) will be awarded at the event! We have reserved a bank of 10 courts and will supply all the balls, so just bring your racquet and join in on the fun. We expect upwards of 100 attendees. Players can join one of 4 courts of tennis games based on skill level (fast-paced games w/ teams of 6-8 on each side), or hit around with a foursome on one of the other courts. There will be a variety of fun team-based tennis games for y'all to participate in and win giveaways! The Capital Area Social Tennis League is a social-first, co-ed tennis league designed for young professionals ages 21-39 to meet new people through the game of tennis. Leagues range from beginners (Thursday Super Social) to intermediate/advanced (Mondays), so we invite you and your friends to come and check out our games night if you aren't sure whether you want to commit. We offer 4 social leagues each season. Our Monday and Wednesday leagues are just about full, but we have spots open in our Thursday Super Social league at UT and the Thursday North league at McNeil HS (all levels). Registration is open until August 31, with fall leagues starting after Labor Day. For more information about our league offerings and how to register, visit www.austinsocialtennis.com Directions to the courts: The UT Whitaker Tennis Courts are located at 287 W 51st St. There is a parking lot next to the courts, and you will grab a parking desk from the front desk. We will be on courts 26-35 in the back right corner, with music playing. Games Kickoff Schedule on Thursday, August 25: 6:30PM - 7:00PM: Grab your parking pass, sign in to enter free league raffle, informal hit around 7:00PM - 8:00PM: 4 courts of tennis games & drills, divided by skill level 8:00PM: Swag giveaways + the winner of a A FREE Thursday North Fall league registration will be announced 8:00PM - 8:30PM: Post-tennis social hour! Folks are welcome to head over to Hopdoddy in small groups so we don't create a huge line all at once. Games night will conclude at 8:30pm and everyone still on the courts can make their way to Hopdoddy for discounted bites 🍔 + drinks🍺 just for our group! What to bring: Just a tennis racquet, athletic shoes/clothes, and a water bottle - we'll supply everything else!
