It is with great delight that we invite you to celebrate the centennial celebration of Second Missionary Baptist Church of Monroe, Michigan. God has blessed us to serve in our community for 100 years and this year we have planned a grand celebration to commemorate this monumental occasion. Beginning the weekend of September 16th - 18th of this year, we will be hosting a Centennial SMBC Homecoming. Friday September 16th, we will kick off our weekend with a Homecoming concert; Saturday September 17th we will be hosting our Centennial Gala and we will conclude our celebration on Sunday September 18th with Dr. Robert Watkins, a native of Monroe. On behalf of the leadership of Second Missionary Baptist Church, we extend the opportunity for you to partner and celebrate with us by purchasing a ticket or table and/or an advertisement or celebratory message for this illustrious occasion. To commemorate this celebration, our Centennial Gala will take place Saturday, September 17, 2022, beginning at 4pm at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center, 16703 Fort Street in Southgate, Michigan 48195. To accommodate a plethora of our community partners, church affiliates, and business owners, a commemorative book will be highlighted during this special event.
