Description

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Interlock, a $450 million mixed-use center with unparalleled entertainment, living and dining, office space and outdoor connections, amenities and parks, is serving as a donation location for Atlanta Unbound Academy and The B.E.S.T. Academy to collect school supplies for the 2022-23 school year. Through the end of August, The Interlock will be accepting school supply donations for both area schools in the property management office located on the first level of The Interlock’s lobby. Those interested in donating can stop by Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Through rigorous, culturally-rich teaching and a creative, nurturing environment, Atlanta Unbound Academy works to empower students who achieve intellectually, interpret the world critically and dream beyond measure. The B.E.S.T. Academy is focused on providing rigorous learning opportunities for young men and designed to offer effective gender-based instructional strategies to deliver the most relevant and specialized curriculum as possible. A suggested list of items needed for Atlanta Unbound Academy can be viewed here. Additionally, items can be purchased for either school through an Amazon wishlist, which will be delivered to The Interlock and then donated to the schools. The mixed-use center will also be hosting a free back-to-school block party on Aug. 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Highline Park, the property’s public park located between Beeline Blvd. and Interlock Ave. NW. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, drinks, live music and more. Children are welcome to attend with an adult, and a donation box will be set up for individuals to drop off their donations. “We are thrilled to once again partner with schools in our community to help them collect much-needed school supplies,” said Jessica Moore, property manager at The Interlock. “Last year, we were able to collect over $2,500 worth of supplies and we hope to double that amount this year.” About The Interlock Developed by SJC Ventures, Phase 1 of The Interlock is a nine-acre mixed-use property that is walkable from end-to-end.
