New England Coffee is one of the largest independent Coffee Roasters in the Northeast. Our MATERIAL HANDLERS's are responsible for preparing customer orders for delivery and pick-up while ensuring that accuracy and productivity goals are met. HOURS are Monday-Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm Responsibilities: -Accurately prepares customer orders daily by pulling, packing, and placing boxes in assigned locations for delivery or pickup and assists loading trucks as needed -Verifies all product SKUs are correct prior to shipping -Coordinates with shipping to organize shipment priorities and stage the orders in uniform fashion for ease of loading and verification -Processes and resolves all discrepancies in a timely manner; notifies supervisor immediate if issue needs to be escalated -Operates a forklift and electric hand jack safely and efficiently, performs vehicle safety checks and reports issues to supervisor -Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping pallet, shipping and workstation areas neat and operating efficiently which includes breaking down boxes and emptying the trash and ensures all equipment is stored at the end of the shift -Assists with monthly cycle counting to confirm accurate inventory -Meets specified accuracy and productivity goals -Communicates positively with supervisors, office administration, coworkers, and customers -Attends and completes all required safety/forklift training and certification exams -Other duties as assigned Qualifications: -High school diploma or GED -Experience in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred -Forklift and electric hand jack equipment or similar equipment required -High attention to detail with good organizational skills -Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment resulting in consistent productivity -Positive and flexible team player with ability to build strong working relationships -Dependable and punctual -Strong safety awareness -Technology proficient with ability to quickly learn warehouse management system (WMS) -Good communication skills, both verbal and written -Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Benefits include health insurance, 401k, LTD, paid vacation and holidays!
