OUTDOOR: A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. In addition to being a fun way to connect with the community and raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, the data you collect during our NRPA, National Recreation and Park Association, Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz captures a snapshot of our preserve’s biodiversity of wildlife and across the country. Let’s get curious about the world around us and learn how to use the INaturalist app to help us find 50 species in Lyonia Preserve to identify! This program is recommended for participants ages 7 and older. Participants should wear closed toed shoes, bring water and be prepared to hike on unpaved sugar sand trails.
