NAMI Greater Wheeling, WV is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the largest grassroots mental health organization in the country. On Saturday, October 15th, 2022, NAMI Greater Wheeling will hold a NAMI Walk to raise awareness for mental illness. 1 in 5 people live with a mental illness. Everyone knows someone with a mental illness. But only 40% of people with a mental illness get treatment. The reason people don’t get help? Stigma. We want to help change this statistic in our community. Your sponsorship and walk participation will help NAMI Greater Wheeling continue to offer support groups, signature education programs, and offer special programs to those who attend the NAMI Greater Wheeling Drop-In Center.
