Mosaic Bazaar offers visitors a unique way to experience every culture's essence and most significant flavors. Lining the hallways is a spread of more than 20 stands, with the common denominator here: commitment to tradition. Find cultural cuisine, colorful cultivating art, immaculate jewelry, and unforgettable experiences alongside traditional performances given by community members. Mosaic Bazaar will also be part of Welcoming Week in Salt Lake, celebrating the contributions of immigrants and refugees and highlighting the community's role in having everyone feel welcomed! Join us on September 17th, 2022 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Columbus Center in South Salt Lake for this event that embodies community, culture, taste, and tradition. Registration is not required but is strongly encouraged. Contributing Partners:Mosaic Bakery Mosaic Bakery is a Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Bakery specializing in traditional gourmet baklava. Our mission is to celebrate cultural diversity and unification with the community through specialty handmade pastries, with over 20 different kinds of traditional baklava. Each piece of baklava is made diligently to tell our unique story. We strive to support our refugee and immigrant communities by featuring pastries from different regions and highlighting traditions, cuisine, art and culture. We use a variety of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spices and local product to add flavor to your dessert experience. Pacific Island Knowledge Action 2 Resource (PIKA2R) PIK2AR is a strength-based ecosystem of programs and events that eliminate violence, empowers, improves health, gives dignity and hope by increasing personal and financial growth into ethnic and underserved households, promote and perpetuates all Pacific Island cultures creating alliances and bridging across all communities sharing resources, education, and support. Emerald Project The Emerald Project is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to combatting the misrepresentation of Islam. The Emerald Project believes that the misrepresentation of Islam has diverse and far reaching consequences. Among them: Islamophobia, challenges with the Muslim Identity, and the mispractice of Islam within Muslim communities. Our organization is unique, we fight misrepresentation simultaneously within the Muslim and non-Muslim community. Our diverse team is made up of young first and second generation Americans. We all speak two languages, we all share two cultures and are deeply proud of our mixed identities.
