Come join us for our meeting as we hear from Mary Lynn Onorad, President of the Woodridge Rotary Club. We will learn about how pollination projects can benefit the environment and our communities. A little more info about Mary Lynn: Mary Lynn Onorad is a second term president for the Woodridge Rotary Club. Her first day on the job was the day after the devastating EF3 tornado hit Naperville and Woodridge, affecting 190 homes. Rotary, was in fundraising mode for families for the next nine months. The plans for establishing a native garden in the 83rd st. Park was put on hold for a year. It all worked out because Rotary received an environmental grant from Illinois American Water which funded the project. Mary is a member of Operation Pollination , ESRAG- Environmental Sustainable Rotary Interaction Group, Dupage Monarch Group, and Sag Moraine Native Plant Community. She resides in Westmont with her husband, Bill, and was a high school Special Education Vocational Coordinator in Naperville. Since retirement, she has a team of four therapy dogs through the Naperville Area Humane Society. Her son, John, is a police officer and because of the tornado, Bill and Mary met and adopted an Air Force Mom, Lani, and her Daughter , Olivia, as a part of their family. Mary’s hobbies include Gardening, Sewing, Cooking and Golf. Meeting information: Meeting time 12 -1pm (We officially start at 12:10. There is networking from 12 - 12:10. There are members who will come as early as 11:45. Feel free to come a little earlier to get to know people better.) For lunch, we order off the menu. Each person pays for their own individual bill. Attached you’ll find our agenda for the meeting. This will tell you about our club and see our format and you can see past and future speakers for this time of year. Feel free to invite guests that you think would be a great fit for our club or who you've been wanting to hear you speak. Everyone is welcome. We are always looking for like minded people to join Rotary. Rotary is a service based leadership organization that supports it's community with chapters located across the world.
