Description

This class will begin with a short warm up followed by a series of static and dynamic stretches. These excercises will strategically target our hips, hamstrings, glutes, quads and thighs. We will go through a number of stretches and excercises that will increase flexibility to perform our middle splits. For this class we will utilize standing area but mostly floor space. Yoga blocks and a blanket or a towel are recommended but not required. This is a hands on intensive session where the instructor will provide corrections, modifications and push you to explore your full range of motion. Even if you have no desire to "split" you can still come out and get a good lower body stretch with us. Alternatives to the split will be available! Stretching can play a large part in the body’s flexibility, mobility, blood flow, posture, stress and quality of life. This beginner friendly class is open to all flexibility levels. Hopefully you will leave this class feeling limber, loose and ready for "da splits!"
