Description
Seeking a 2nd guitarist, a vocalist/frontman and a drummer for my band. We're in our 20s so preferably a similar age range. Influences of nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden, alice in chains, red hot chili peppers, jimi hendrix, SRV, the beatles, solo john lennon, foo fighters, janes addiction, the doors, stone temple pilots...etc Currently we (just bass and guitar) are jamming & writing music together as we form a full band. Looking for people who: - are willing to work together to write as a group, as opposed to having, like, one person writing everything and telling everyone what to play – that's cool for a song here and there but it would be great to have everyone get input at least most of the time and add their own uniqueness – to me that makes for a great band. Of course if you have an idea and a general image of where you want it to go that’s totally fine, and I think people can work with that while still adding their own style, I just am tired of being in bands where one guy makes everyone do what he wants and nobody else gets input or writing credit lol - will take it seriously, make it a priority and go with it if it goes somewhere/not back out lol. When I say “serious” I just mean making the band a priority, and be willing to tour if it comes to that. I don’t mean we all have to sit around and be Super Serious Musicians – obviously this has gotta be fun and we have to love each other’s company or it won’t work. And nobody likes a pretentious band of jerks LOL - just have authenticity and play with heart and soul, give it everything. I would rather hear music that has some mistakes but still has feeling than something that is “perfect” but has no soul. Also not digging the kinds of musicians who are willing to sell their souls and follow the trends. Holding on to that authenticity imo is how you keep the fire going and don’t start sounding like crap or selling out after 3 albums lol ALSO: We rehearse currently at Francisco’s Studios off Osborn Rd in Phoenix. It’s a lockout so we have 24/7 access, BUT keep in mind there is no equipment there except what you bring. (You can leave stuff though and I’m happy to help you carry your gear in and out so you won’t be doing it alone – especially the drummer lol) Bonus points if you are a hard-hitting drummer with groove (I tend to write bass lines that i feel would go with drums like that, i think of dave abbruzzese, dave grohl, taylor hawkins, etc but you don't have to be influenced by those guys exactly, just putting that out there) Hit me up! And God bless <3
