The St. Johns Cultural Council and the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival have partnered to present a new concert series, Live from The Waterworks, celebrating the legendary recording artist Gamble Rogers, whose balladry and storytelling shaped American folk music. Events will be held on the third Saturday of each month from October through June. Doors at 7; opening act performs at 7:30. The second concert in the series features Jim Carrick and Charley Simmons with Charlie Robertson, performing on November 19th at The Waterworks, 184 San Marco Avenue in St. Augustine, Fla. Purchase single tickets for this show or a package that includes the October 22nd show featuring Doyle Dykes with Ruth Wyand and the December 17th event with Michael Reno Harrell and Bob Patterson. Packages include premium seating, a complimentary beverage at each show, and sponsor recognition in the event program. Proceeds from the concert series will support the annual Gamble Rogers Music Festival, a key three-day event held in the Spring and in its 27th year.
