DETROIT — A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after striking a wall on Interstate 96 in Detroit, Michigan State Police said.
State troopers said the 47-year-old woman from Redford was driving too fast in the westbound lanes on Interstate 96 near Evergreen Road and lost control trying to navigate a curve.
The motorcycle then crashed and the woman collided with the median wall, killing her, officials said.
Troopers closed the freeway for hours to investigate the crash. The woman's family was notified, officials said.
