seeking amateur musicians to talk, write, & jam with

I'm an amateur singer-songwriter who would love to meet some other musicians to talk shop/write/jam with. I love the Twin Cities music scene but as a 37-year old out-of-towner who has never played in public and has one (maybe two) songs that could be called finished, even the casual jam scene here feels a bit impenetrable. I mostly write folk lyrics and melodies (very inspired by people like Gillian Welch, Jason Molina, and Punch Brothers as of late), play autoharp, and sing. Would be great to build some kind of music community while I'm living here.
