Join Miss Canda as we take an exciting musical journey, making stops along the way to explore the keyboard. In this 9 week class we will learn how letters, numbers, rhythm and dynamics all work together to play the piano! It takes 24 steps to arrive on Middle C, so come along with Miss Canda as we start our exciting journey on the keyboard! If you know your ABCs, Colors, and Numbers (1-30 a plus) then you will have even more fun learning the lay of the land of your keyboard/ piano and how to play it! In this class we will learn the music alphabet, basics of fingering, black and white keys, naming notes and recognizing basic symbols in music theory. We will also gain a musical understanding of musical terms through imaginative play, interactive games, and writing and drawing music symbols. Our group class will meet once a week. With practice and review outside of class, students will begin to develop the discipline of learning their first instrument and be able to play songs in Middle C Position.
