What influences the way you purchase seafood? Join the conversation and share your perspectives with others.
New England is renowned for its seafood; in fact, lobster bakes, cod fritters, and New England-style clam chowder are an integral part of the region’s coastal culture.
How do you go about choosing the seafood you buy? Do you base your preferences on sustainable fishing, cost, carbon footprint, where it’s caught or raised, or a combination of all these factors? We’ve gathered a group of scientists, fishers, government officials, and other stakeholders who are interested in balancing seafood consumption with an ever-changing marine ecosystem—and they want to hear from you.
This is a free, in-person, two-hour forum at the Museum of Science on Wednesday August 24 from 6pm-8pm.
Snacks will be provided. A $50 gift card will be given at the conclusion of the evening after full participation. Masks are encouraged but optional. Parking in the Museum garage will be validated for this event.
You do not need any background knowledge of the topic to participate.
