The Dennis Conservation Land Trust... ... is a non profit educational, conservation and land preservation organization in the Town of Dennis. that continues to be an important contributor to land conservation efforts in the 21 square miles of Dennis. Since its inception in 1988, through collaborative private/town/state efforts, it has been instrumental in preserving more than 1 square mile of special places throughout all 5 villages of the town for the enjoyment of the townspeople, visitors and wildlife. In addition to other important initiatives in 2022, the Trust has agreed to secure Tobey West preservation which will prevent further degradation of the Cape’s second largest saltmarsh by protecting 8.02 acres of upland, freshwater wetland, along the Chase Garden Creek/Chapin saltmarsh. Addiionally this would Preserve another portion of the historic Tobey Farm • Mitigate impacts of climate change and sea level rise • Protect critical habitat for finfish, shellfish and wildlife species • Provide public access to a growing trail network in the area Your participation will help the DCLT to reach this goal, and continue to make a difference in the future of our treasured seaside town.
