While actually at the tiller student or students will learn: Tacking Jibing Point of sail Trimming sails (Most efficient position of sail relative to wind. Maneuvering up to rescue a swimmer or person overboard. Terminology Rules of the road for collision avoidance. For those seeking a certificate what is learned can go a long way into testing out of an area ASA or US Sail area sailing school. My sailboat is just 16 ft. I believe a perfect size to learn to sail while having fun. I can teach one or two on this sailboat. I prefer two so bringing a friend or spouse is more than welcome. I always look for a day that is not too windy or rough to teach. I want folks to be comfortable. John Nery "Sparky"
