BASS PLAYER NEEDED FOR REGIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE

Seeking bass for upcoming Regional Blues Challenge on October 16th. Twenty-minute set of original and cover material. Winners go on to compete in Memphis, TN. I am a vocalist/guitarist/songwriter with over 30 years’ experience and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. I am seeking a professional level bassist who can read the charts that I send and play/perform/present at a professional level. My ideal bassist will be a blend of Stax/Motown groove and Jaco improv. For my arrangements, I really want a bassist who can freely improvise while maintaining the groove. I intend to commence weekly rehearsals in mid-September. I will have charts/tracks of the planned material to musicians in the first week of September. Style of music will be in the vein of Jeff Healey/Tab Benoit/Matt Schofield. All rehearsals and performance will be paid. If interested, send an e-mail with brief bio and demo of your playing.
