Interested in joining an existing band or starting one from the ground up. I’ve got a career outside of music and would rather get with people who have common goals (play out, record, eventual festivals and small tours) instead of networking at open mics. I am not available on Mon or Tue unless there is a KILLING gig. Experienced bassist- 41; Open minded w/ big ears; Confident on electric; Groove/vamp player on upright; Can play synth too. Pro gear, decades of experience in lots of genres, music education, have transportation. Inspirations for this project: MMW, Club D’Elf, Cochemea, Herbie Hancock, electric Miles, Mark Guiliana’s Beat Music, Butcher Brown, Yussef Dayes, Nels Cline, Dap Tone bands, Benevento/Russo Duo, Now vs Now... Use to geek out at the downtown NYC clubs in the late 90's- Wet Lands, Tonic, Knitting Factory, etc. If I might fit your existing/soon to be project, hmu! Original Band Idea: Deconstructed cover band that does things from a unique perspective (see inspirations above). I am open to adding originals (yours and mine). Instrumental music is great, though I’m open to vocals. Could focus on a single artist/band or not. A lot of this depends on the collaborators. Interested in drums, keys (classic organ and e-piano sounds and/or synths), (bonus if can play keys and/or electronics), guitar (Trey clones need not apply), percussion (more into mallets and industrial/Morf Beat sounds than slapping aways congas all day).
