Full Job Description In need of a diesel mechanic to diagnose and repair major/minor components for various truck & trailer equipment. Expectations include the ability to diagnose and repair the following with little to no supervision: Clutches PTO Systems Electric Systems Hydraulic/ Air Brake systems Heating/ Air Conditioning Systems Instruments and Gauges Preventive Maintenance Service Qualifications for this positions: -Minimum of 5 years experience with tractor/trailer maintenance -Vocational/Technical or certification required -Proficiency in the use of shop tools & diagnostic software required -Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems -Weekday and weekend work will be required! Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Schedule: On call Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: Chalmette, LA 70043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required) Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Vocational/Technical or Certification (Required) Work Location: One location
