POSITION PROFILE: The Housekeeper room attendant position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of motel rooms, public areas, building maintenance and managing the daily linen inventory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Clean hardwood floors and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and mop in all motel rooms and lobby areas Clean motel rooms, lobby, office and lobby restroom Wipe down bedroom shiplap walls and ceilings, move furniture’s and turn mattress as advised by by management Sweep, mop, scrubs, and wax floors in all motel rooms and lobby areas Dust and polish all metalwork and metal railings on property Collects soiled room linens and towels Receive and stock clean linens from linen cleaning service Remove and dispose of all trash collected in rooms and on property grounds Deliver towels and other items to the guest rooms on requests Perform all duties of housekeeping Sort linen, stock housekeeping room and carts Refill and stock all guest amenities and supplies Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains; report any damages to the management Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues Must be completely flexible with scheduling and be open to varied schedules every week based on hotel occupancies Follow uniform guideline Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management REQUIREMENTS: SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Has a strong working knowledge of and passion for hospitality Strong leadership skills and is able to build a cohesive team to achieve the highest quality of customer service Displays a strong hands-on approach Thinks critically and objectively Guest service oriented Strong knowledge of cleaning products and cleaning procedures QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: Minimum one year of experience as a housekeeper / room attendant The Pacific Motel is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
