AAAAKK! Craiglist took down my last posting because, I'm guessing, it had a word that rhymes with "Schmantasy" football, but as a clever human and not a bot, this is what I'm trying to put together. Here's the posting with the offending word removed. Hello Football Fans! Would you like to join a LOCAL FFB league? Where we can actually gather in person for a draft and maybe make some new friends while playing the game we love? If the league below fits your description of fun, send me your contact info. Once I get to the first 10-12 players signed up, I'll close this posting down, I'll send out an email, and we'll start making definite dates and plans. FORMAT: Standard, PPR, Snake Draft, likely on ESPN with the addition of one SUPERFLEX position (think 2QB league) with the other standard positions and format. WHO: Any grownup, (older than 18) who likes FFB and is a kind and considerate human. This is for fun and for creating community. Yes, Women and any sexual orientation/identification are welcome! WHEN: Start of 2022 football seasons, so draft will be in a few weeks. WHERE: TBD, but I would like to offer a place (bar, my house, restaurant with WI-FI) where we can meet each other in person and make this more than just an online thing. Yes, most of it will then occur online, with the option to have some fun gatherings. WHY - Because it's fun to meet new people and watch football. TID-BITS - Typically we will vote on a cash prize, $20-$50 per person to play, with all cash going out as price money to first and second places (Maybe a token for 3rd) to make it a little more competitive. A few humble requests: This is an attempt to bring people together and have some fun. It's not a place to bring political discussions or create divisions based on any beliefs. If you're an A-hole or intolerant, then just don't bother. (and as commissioner, you'll get the boot, no refunds). Don't contact me to waste my time as a troll, please. I would like to get people who will be active managers of their teams and also be open to interacting with each other. Good-natured competition, creative smack-talk and the spirit of the game are all welcome! I am open to suggestions on the format of the league once we get a group established.
