Position: Warehouse Picker Reports to: Warehouse Manager Warehouse pickers perform a variety of tasks associated with ensuring the orders are picked packed and shipped correctly. It is the Picker’s task to pull product according to stock number been location and product description and then scan the product using RF Scanner. Once the order is complete it is brought over to the stacking location. We are a fast pace distribution company that provides natural, ethnic, and healthy product all throughout New England. Requirements: Excellent Attention to detail Sense of urgency Work in a fast pace environment Excellent attendance Focus on accuracy and pick rates Good attitude and teamwork skills Follow all safety rules and requirements Knowledge and Experience A high school diploma or GED is preferred for this position. The ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic arithmetic is required. Previous experience in warehouse or materials storage and order picking is helpful. Physical, Mental and Visual Requirements Most tasks require standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting and occasional sitting. Many tasks are performed either standing or sitting and require a broad range of motion. Good vision is required for adherence to quality standards. The work requires fine motor skills, dexterity, accuracy and continuous mental and visual attention. Record-keeping responsibilities include employee notations and signature on a variety of forms and basic computer skills. Safety Work is performed in a clean and orderly warehouse environment. Employees are responsible for safeguarding product, equipment and work tools and for maintaining their work area in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Employee must complete Forklift training and be certified to drive a forklift truck. The employee is introduced to the Hazard Communication Program, Safety Rules and Emergency Exit procedures during the introductory period of training. Employees are responsible for wearing any Personal Protective Equipment which may be required in performing certain tasks. The employee must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position without posing a direct threat to his or her health and safety or the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
