Loving, Family Girl

Description
Hello Knoxvillians & those from surrounding counties. Our daughter has recently developed a severe allergy to our sweet girl, Dakota, and she must be rehomed. This will be carried out selectively and a telephone conversation is required. Dakota is a 3 yo Pointer/Lab mix who lives as though she exists to love her humans. She is intelligent, affectionate, and remarkably thoughtful of and careful with children (we have three- 2, 10, and 13). She is equally happy playing at the dog park where she knows no strangers (two or four legged) and lounging with her humans at home on chill days. She is housebroken and has had the following routine for over a year- Pee trip at 7:30-8:00am after sleeping for 9-10 hrs, breakfast and bowel emptying next then she's content without accidents for 7hrs or so, potty break at 3pm, ready for dinner around 4pm, and a final potty break before bed around 8pm. She is an intelligent girl and will quickly adapt to the variation of these times that suit your schedule. She is sporadically trustable off-leash; usually during short, routine trips like house to car, car to house. Otherwise, she is used to being on an extendable leash. She sits, goes (into a different room), shakes, spins, lies down, gets down, and jumps up on command. She is not an overly vocal girl. If someone is on the property, approaching the home, or she's excited about "seeing her friends", a phrase synonymous with a dog park trip, she will let you know. She does not bark needlessly. She is spayed, up-to-date with shots and heart worm treatment, microchipped, and she weighs 55lbs. Dakota is the quintessential best friend. She loves sincerely and will continue to thrive in a home with humans who love her sincerely too. She is used to traveling with us in the back of our SUV. When left alone, she is well-behaved (unless she can access food...she's always gonna gamble on the food). Dakota cons: she sheds like a Lab. Rehoming: I'm hoping to connect with an individual or family with the means and the heart to share time & space with Dakota. This girl deserves the world- unstable and/or financially insecure homes will not be considered. Keeping respect for boundaries and safety in mind, our phone call will include questions about your lifestyle and the nature and continuity of your income. There is a non-negotiable $250 rehoming "fee". If that number gave you pause, please do not call. If Dakota sounds like the friend you've always wanted, I can be reached at by call only. Text senders will be blocked and emails will not receive responses. Calls between 9am-7pm are welcome 7 days a week. I am unwilling to subject Dakota to the animal shelter or fate, thus, if you see her post, we are still seeking her human(s) ❤️
