UT Anxiety Treatment Study Seeking Participants! The Institute for Mental Health Research at UT-Austin, in collaboration with Boston University, is conducting a no-cost evidence-based treatment study for a range of anxiety-related problems. This study is supported by the National Institutes of Health. The goal of this study is to predictions who is most likely to respond to cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). If you have been experiencing significant and debilitating worry-, anxiety-, fear-, or stress-related problems, we may be able to offer a full 12-week course of evidence-based CBT, if eligible. Participants will: (1) be at least 18-years-old and up to 70-years-old; and (2) meet criteria for the following: social anxiety disorder, panic disorder (with or without agoraphobia), generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. Participation involves: (a) 2 in-person pre-treatment assessment visits; (b) 1 online pre-treatment assessment visit; (c) 12-weekly therapy sessions with a Ph.D.-level therapist; (d) 12 brief weekly online assessments to track your progress; and (e) 2 online follow-up assessments occurring 1-week and 3-months after treatment. In addition to receiving a full no-cost course of CBT, participants will be compensated up to $300.00.
