Fast-paced scrap metal recycling company seeking a laborer/ sorter. Job Duties: * Assist production yard in daily business activities including scrap collection, processing, and shipping. * Sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals (will train). * Weigh material and record weights in an accurate manner. * Able to lift 50+ pounds on a consistent basis. * Comply with all safety, environmental, and proper housekeeping procedures. * Must be able to work full-time, Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (occasional weekends). Skills: * Forklift experience a definite plus! * Experience operating hand tools a plus. * Comfortable working with the public, small dealers, and industrial customers. * Proven track record of reliability and dependability. * Ability to work in all weather conditions. * Must take directions well. * Willingness to get job done in an orderly and efficient manner.
