Looking for other humans looking to create original music with. I have a bunch of songs ready to go, but to fit whatever dynamic arises, I am willing to deconstruct and rearrange them (like Mr Potato head's face). Would love to write new songs too, if you bring some ideas or songs to the table we can run with whatever works best. I’m not tied to any genre, but my stuff fits a range from indie folk (Jose Gonzales) to 80’s post punk, 90’s ish dream pop/glam rock(Flaming Lips/Spacehog). I hate having to put descriptions, but I find it disingenuous and lacking of self awareness to say “we don’t sound like anybody” YES, yes… you do. I try to at least be conscious of my influences, I feel it's the best way to grow and defeat stagnation. I’m not a genre conformist, I'm pretty open to anything in each song. MBV with banjos…… I’m looking for instrumentalists who can sing, write vocal melodies and lyrics. Viola, trumpet, lap steel, accordion, piano, vibraphone, synth players and drum programmers. I play guitar and bass. Don’t need a lead guitarist, but if you have a ton of pedals and like to create atmospheres with them, that sounds interesting to me. I play melodies on my guitar, similar to cure, joy division type stuff, not looking for flashy leads. Not looking to jam, I’d like to have the songs fortified with backing tracks filled with weird sounds and movie quotes and instruments we don’t have the hands to play. So the songs will be done when they are done, making rehearsing and practice and replication a little easier. I feel like a presentable, high energy show is possible with me and one other person sharing vocals with me(or taking over lead vocals) and drums, bass and back tracks all programmed in. Goal is to get some shows opening for bands in New Haven, North Hampton, maybe do a regional tour of New England, play at wherever in Hartford that local bands play and go from there. Find stuff at earthlikeplanet on bandcamp. Just some rough drafts I recorded on reaper, not yet mastered so use headphones. No drugs or drama, age 30-50, I don’t care what you do in your life (well actually I do care please don’t self destruct!!) but I prefer sober practices/creation sessions. Unfortunately the world revolves around image, I’m including some pics of me so you know what to expect.
