Please join us for tea, conversation, and networking with members new and old! The most vibrant and effective coffee meetup around! This month we will be visiting Express Yourself to network and participate in the design of their set piece The Waves learn more below! If you are a current member and would like to invite any potential members or guests, please make sure to have them register under their own name and email. Our meetups are always free for members but you can join us for a small fee if you would like to learn more about our program. The Waves are a collaborative project that will be featured as a set design piece at our annual performance in May at the Boch Center Wang Theatre. This project was inspired by our guest artist, Wes Bruce. Wes creates large scale installations and exhibitions all across the country and the world. Each individual will paint a wave, thinking about their own connections to waves, the ocean, bodies of water, etc. These waves will be created by everyone that comes through our program this year, and will come together at the end to create one big collective ocean. “We as people are not so different from the waves on the ocean. On a small scale, if we as individuals are an ocean, each day or each emotion might be a wave- rising and falling. On a large scale, if all of humanity is the ocean, then each of us in our individual lives is a wave, living out our chapters on the every-changing surface of the sea. We are the ocean waving, and we have a lot we can learn from the motion, fluidity and rhythm of water.” – Wes Bruce
