The Museum of the San Rafael will be holding their 2nd annual EmCo Paranormal Con Fundraiser on October 7th and 8th. This years schedule will be as follows: October 7th 6 p.m. Comedian and host of "The Ghost Box" Podcast, Dory Peacock, will be our first featured guest lecturer. Dory will discuss her experience as a paranormal investigator here in Utah. After, there will be an open mic session where guests can tell their experiences with the paranormal and may become Dory's next interviewee. * 9 p.m. Southern Utah Paranormal (SUP) Ghost Hunt live stream event. October 8th 7 a.m. Witch and Wizard Fun Run on Emery County's famous Ghost Road. Attendees are highly encouraged to dress as their favorite witch or wizard for the run. Adult costume prize $100 donated by Splash Tech. Children 12 and under $50 prize. Homemade costumes will receive the most points. $10 to sign up, kids under 6 free. 8 a.m. Vendors begin setting up at the museum and park. Be ready to open at 10 a.m. ** 10 a.m. Vendor and kids activities start. Kids activities are free! We have many amazing vendors this year so don't miss out on some really amazing products! 1 p.m. Historian and lover of all things strange, Tiffani Baker, will be the 2nd featured guest lecturer. Tiffani will lecture on "The American Witch Craze: Past and Present." This lecture is a serious look into the witch trials of early America and the repercussions that still affect people today. This lecture is restricted to 16+ due to the nature of the discussion.* 1 p.m. Hocus Pocus: Free Movie for kids at the County Administration building. Seating is limited so get your tickets early! 3 p.m. Southern Utah Paranormal Society (SUP) will be our special guest and final lecture. SUP will be discussing their investigations into Southern Utah's hauntings, including the Museum of the San Rafael's own ghosts, and will talk about the methods they use to capture proof of the paranormal! * 6 p.m. Vendors clean up and we all go home.
