Join fellow members of Greater Grand Forks Women’s Leadership Cooperative (GGFWLC) in participating in the 2022 TEARS Walk to Remember, Walk to Support in Grand Forks. GGFWLC is building a team of walkers to help advance the mission of the event: promoting mental wellness and supporting those who have been affected by suicide. You can join us in two ways: Participants can simply make a free-will donation to TEARS to be added to GGFWLC’s collective gift to the cause. Go one step further by making a donation AND walking with GGFWLC on Sept. 25. We will be ordering t-shirts for all GGFWLC participants and will walk as a group ($7.50 will cover the cost of the t-shirt). We will include your ticket in our group registration – no need to register separately. Please register before Sept. 12 to include your donation in the GGFWLC team donation. We will provide t-shirts and more information at our Fall Member Social on Sept. 8, but please reach out to us if you have any questions! --- TEARS (Together We Educate About the Realities of Suicide) is an organization that was founded on the belief that all survivors of suicide loss deserve support, connection and hope. About the TEARS Walk We Walk to Remember:The importance of taking care of ourselves and each other.Our loved ones that we have lost to a suicide.The amplitude of local resources for you if you need to talk to someone.We are not alone.We Walk to Support: The promotion of mental wellness and taking care of ourselves.Those who have been affected by suicide loss.Our loved ones struggling with their mental health.Our community, our region, and each other.The money raised from this year’s walk will help support mental wellness events, our monthly support groups for those have lost a loved one to suicide, grief kits provided to regional funeral homes with TEARS resources and support items, and other events that help raise awareness to keep our community and region safe.
