Anna’s House is a non-profit shelter, under the umbrella of Communities of Tomorrow-dfw offering safety for victims of domestic violence and a second chance for women who are in need of rehabilitation, counseling and employment in order to re-join society as productive citizens. Anna’s House teaches self-reliance, self-sufficiency, responsibility and works to assist in the development or re-establishment of confidence and belief in one’s self. With these tools, women leave Anna’s House prepared to face the world with a totally new outlook and belief in their ability not just to survive, but to thrive. As Director of Communities of Tomorrow-dfw, and Anna’s House I truly believe that no one deserves to be physically or emotionally abused and no one deserves to remain in a state of despair in a city as academically, economically and socially advantaged as this city. Anna’s House seeks to provide that safety net that will offer a second chance to become a contributing part of this vibrant city and all it has to offer. But to do the work that Anna’s House does, requires the support of community and business partners who believe in the worth of every individual. As a community or business partner, you have the opportunity to relieve the pain and suffering caused by domestic violence, homelessness and living in the shadows hoping for a better day.
