Arista Community hospice is looking for veterans or active duty military to serve in our "We Honor Veterans" program. Hospice honors and thanks veterans we serve (and others) for the service they have given to our country. We do this in a few ways: Presenting certificates to our veteran patients and honoring them personally for their service; visiting with a veteran one time a week to listen to their stories and provide companionship; and assist in honoring other veterans for their service on special days like Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. We offer free training so that volunteers feel confident and well-prepared to serve others in this special time of life.
