Learn to make your own removable throw pillow covers! We'll teach you how to add trim, tassels and more. You'll leave knowing how to create your own designer pillows for a fraction of the cost. Age 16+ *under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian* Materials Not Included You will need: 1 yard fabric (duckcloth or decorators’ fabric, if you’re unsure send us a message for help) 2.5 yds pompom or tassel trim- minimum width 2” or 1” tape (again, if unsure, please ask for help) A pillow form either 16x16 or 18x18 Your sewing machine Thread, scissors, seam ripper, ruler, and sewing pins Stefanie Weakley is an award-winning designer, entrepreneur, and advocate for military families. She’s spent the past 15 years running a successful handmade accessories brand, while traveling the country as a military spouse. In 2010 she founded Abby Maddy Designs and recently launched the lifestyle brand Abby Maddy & Company. Her work has been featured on Fox and Friends, the Martha Stewart Awards, and Belong Magazine, and includes a design collaboration with R. Riveter of Shark Tank. Stefanie is passionate about small business and the local community. She is a graduate of The University of Tennessee and is a recipient of the Lady Victory award from the 1st Infantry Division. In 2020 she was chosen as one of ten local female entrepreneurs for the Wow + Propel program. She is also a graduate of Leadership Kingsport 2022, an ETSU STRIVE graduate, V-WISE Syracuse graduate, and a TN Achieves mentor. In 2019 she returned to Kingsport where she resides with her husband Ben, her two children Abby and Jack and their hounddog named Camo.
