Description

Please read the entire posting. For sale is our Ruby Red 2002 Mustang Premium Convertible. It has the V6, automatic transmission. We have owned it since 2003. It is a previous rental. It had just under 19k miles when we bought it. It now has approx. 154,700 miles. Pretty low considering it is over 18 years old. My wife's commute was only 7 miles. The paint has the usual parking lot dings. It is by no means perfect. No major dents. It has been in one accident. It was hit by a pickup backing out of a parking space. Only damaged the driver's door. It has had regular oil changes and other regular maintenance. The only semi-major repairs have been the alternator, a/c compressor, and convertible top motor. The tires are just over 2 years old with about 8k miles on them. Shocks, brakes , and the battery were also replaced in the last couple of years. The automatic transmission has never been an issue.. The original Mach 460 stereo was replaced because of repeated jammed cd's, a common problem. Another common problem with the V6's was the exhaust manifolds cracking, especially the right side. That's because it sits under the. a/c compressor. When the condensation drips, it falls right on the manifold. Cold water, hot metal. Not good planning. When the third one cracked, I replaced the cast iron manifolds with BBK ceramic coated headers, a new y-pipe, and new pipes going through Flowmaster mufflers. I also added a BBK cold air intake. All CARB smog legal. The seats are leather, but in the last two years, the driver's seat ripped, and the passenger seat upholstery started to give way as well.. I covered them with imitation leather (vinyl) seat covers. The top has zero rips, tears, or separations. I want to be completely up front to avoid any future questions. The only issue with the car is that it uses a little oil. Check the oil every 3-4 gas fill-ups, and you will be fine. You have been advised. It pass the smog inspection last week on the first test. Asking $2450. Make me an offer, but no low ballers please. This is a cash only sale. No checks of any kind, no trades. Sorry, trying to add pictures but the program isn't letting me. I also have the cat listed on Offerup, Craigslist, and Autotrader.
