Cat Sitters Needed - $25 - $27 per hour
Jobs
Seattle WA
Description
Cat Ladies Cat Sitting is hiring immediately! We need cat sitters who can provide care for kitties in our Seattle service area. The job entails driving to approximately 6-8 cat client homes per day in north and central Seattle neighborhoods and providing care for cats (feeding, play time, litter box cleaning, meds when applicable, etc.). If you love cats, have a car and proof of your own car insurance, and are willing and/or able to learn how to administer medications to cats then please apply! Cat sitters are paid a flat rate of $18 per visit and visits are typically around 30 minutes long. We also give cat sitters an additional gas bonus that is included in their biweekly paycheck. The pay averages to around $25 - $27 per hour (before generous tips and before including the additional gas bonus.) Most of our cat sitters work about 24 -30 hours per week during the busier times of year (summer months/holiday season) and 15-20 hours during slower times of the year (less popular travel months such as January.) This is a part-time, W2 employee job that pays biweekly. Our hours of business are 8:00am - 8:00pm. Most of our cat sitters generally work from around 9:30am - 6:00pm and often find themselves with a couple hours of break time in the afternoon. A great perk to this job is that it is very flexible and you get to manage your own day/route. A typical daily schedule for a cat sitter usually includes a couple of morning clients (these are cats that are scheduled to be visited any time in the morning), a few regular visits (cats that are okay to be visited any time during daylight/day time business hours), and a couple of evening visits (clients who have requested that we visit their cats in the evening.) We are currently hiring multiple cat sitters and are prioritizing candidates who have at least four full days of availability per week and live in or very close to our Seattle service area. Weekends and holidays are our busiest times, so weekend and holiday availability is a plus. Please visit our website: www.catladiescatsitting.com for more information about our company and the services we provide before applying. To apply please respond to this job ad via email with your resume and a brief description of why you'd make a great cat sitter. Please be sure to mention any experience you have working as a cat sitter, vet tech or vet assistant. A background in caregiving or domestic work (such as nannying or housecleaning) paired with a love of cats is also a great combo to mention when applying. If we decide to follow up with you after you submit your resume then please note that you will eventually need to provide us with three professional references (not from family or friends) and also will be required to pass a background check. Please don't let the name "Cat Ladies" mislead you - we'd love to hear from ANYONE who is interested in working for us....as long as you're not a dog! ;) key words: veterinary, veterinarian office, veterinary tech, feline, cat, cats, kitten, nanny, housekeeper, housesitting, flexible Neighborhoods we serve: Wallingford, Ballard, Fremont, Frelard, Interbay, Queen Anne, Lower Queen Anne, Magnolia, Belltown, Downtown, SLU, Westlake, International District, Pioneer Square, First Hill, Cherry Hill, Central District, Judkins Park, Leschi, Madrona, Madison Park, Madison Valley, Capitol Hill, Montlake, Eastlake, University District, Ravenna, Bryant, Wedgwood, Laurelhurst, Sand Point, Maple Leaf, Northgate, Bitter Lake, Haller Lake, Lake City, Pinehurst, Greenwood, Crown Hill, Sunset Hill, Loyal Heights, Tangletown, Phinney Ridge, Carkeek, Broadview, West Woodland, Whittier Heights, North Beach, Blue Ridge
