Paul the Tree Climber is HIRING! Looking to fill position of Grounds Person. Must be reliable, self motivated, drug free, have drivers license and want to work! 40hrs/wk, starting wage TBD. Looking to find a hard worker who would ultimately like to be trained to climb. JOB DUTIES: A Groundsmen reports directly to the climber. This person is responsible for all groundwork, including the operation of various pieces of power equipment. As part of the Paul the Tree Climber service crew, it is imperative that they provide quality work in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities of a Groundsmen may include but are not limited to the following: •Following safety procedures/regulations at all times •Assisting the Climber with tree/shrub care/removal •Completing a job in an efficient and professional manner •Reporting any problems, questions/concerns, with equipment or performing tasks as outlined on work order to the Climber immediately •Being respectful of PTTC's equipment & the customer’s property at all times •Cut logs with chain saws •Feed limbs and brush into the chipper machine •Load trunk and log pieces into trucks •Rig and lower limbs to the ground PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: •Ability to lift 70 pounds to shoulder height •Flexibility, including the ability to squat and bend •Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time •Ability to work in all weather conditions and to withstand extreme temperatures A Groundsmen plays an important role in upholding PTTC's reputation of excellent customer service and quality work.
