JESUS WALKSFashion of Christ | Fashion Show is a designer showcase featuring a revolutionary approach to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through Fashion, Faith, and Philanthropy. JESUS WALKS Fashion of Christ | Fashion showcase is a Faith based runway with a cause, that encourages the discussion on city-wide food disparities. The JESUS WALKS movement's core mission is to shine a light on this pressing issue in creative ways. When you support the JESUS WALKS movement, they're able to reach their goal of feeding 1000+ families and you become an official philanthropist. This is what's called passive philanthropy, it allows you to give back, in fashion, and creates an automated cycle of giving that develops a win, win, win for everyone who supports the JESUS WALKS movement. This is an unconventional and innovative approach to a christ-like future, but it works! JESUS WALKS Fashion of Christ Designer Showcase will be held on Saturday, August 27th, which is also National “Just Because! Day”, a day to raise awareness of random acts of kindness, and living life by faith without overthinking “just because” Jesus did, so that we may be free from the worries, doubts, and fears of the world! A portion of the proceeds from this show will go towards the Memphis Mid-South Food Bank Foundation, which serves by helping food insecure individuals across the Mid-South as well as by providing food to local agencies and food distribution sites. 7:00 pm: Doors open to the venue.7:30 pm: The showcase beginsDress code: Business CasualAbout Xavier WashingtonXavier Washington is a former engineer for the U.S. Merchant Navy, he served as a merchant mariner on federally owned and military vessels for seven years. He has traveled to over 30 countries, which helped him to gain a unique perspective on life, design, and compassion for people in need globally. Xavier grew up in Memphis, TN while living below the poverty line, this created a sense of pressure that gave him the drive, hustle, and desire to make a difference in our world. His love for people and fashion are united only by the grace of God. Xavier never thought he would become a believer of Jesus Christ or create the JESUS WALKS designer brand, but often times it's the things that we don't want to do that God calls us to do. "Jesus looked at them and said, with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” - Matthew 19:26Despite Xavier not growing up in the Church, he eventually found his way to the kingdom of God during the pandemic, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name. Now he creates as he lives, with passion and purpose to bring glory to the Lord, and the strength to love others in Jesus' name. Xavier is a man of God with many projects but never one to skimp on quality. He hopes that his success and the recent integration of faith, diverse creativity, and life experiences will inspire former generations and the next generations. To be obedient to God, so that He can give them the value and purpose that's needed to reach their full potential, no matter their circumstances by faith.
