Intro to Guitar Class - age 8-12

Kids Intro to Guitar Class, age range 8-12. After school on Wednesdays starting September 21st. Exact time will be determined depending on participants schedules. The group session is 5 one-hour long groups and a performance at the end. Dates will be 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12 and 10/19 with recital on 10/26. $150 for the group. Need at least 3 to hold the group, but limit of 4. Focus will be on learning how to read guitar tablature and chord charts. Please private message me if for more details. MY BACKGROUND: I just moved to Longmont 4 months ago from St. Louis, Missouri. I have been playing the guitar since childhood, and for the last 20 years I have been in several local St. Louis bands, playing mostly folk/Americana/soft rock music. I am a graduate from Oberlin college and took some courses in music theory and aural skills while there. I also have a Master's degree in Education from St. Louis University and a background in Counseling and Social Work. I have been teaching guitar now for 10+ years. I have a wonderful music room in our new house and am excited to teach and have student recitals in it! I have been known to work with students on learning anything from early traditional folk/bluegrass to contemporary country and pop, like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood, etc. I enjoy teaching both privately and in small groups, and can work with students on developing a guitar program that fits their level and musical interest.
