Since 2018, our library has put on a haunted house and hayride fundraiser that brings spooky fun to the community! This year's theme, Dark Waters, will consist of characters and horror stories that are centered around water. Lakes, rivers, swamps, oceans, even the bath tub!
The theme always focuses on characters and scenes from horror books, spanning from classics like Frankenstein and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to recent titles such as The Walking Dead. Each scene features iconic moments and characters of horror literature but with some twists along the way. Guests will also have a chance to participate in some of the scenes which will ensure that even if there is a book worm among the crowd who knows the story, they’ll still be surprised. Leading you through the labyrinth of terrifying experiences will be a literary group guide, such as Edgar Allen Poe, Mary Shelley, Little Red Riding Hood, and others. But are they friend or foe?
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costume, but keep in mind that you may jump out of your skin from fright.
*(Alternative activity will be provided in the library for young children and those who chose not to go through the haunted house while guests enjoy the haunted house.)
TICKETS GO ON SALE - SEPTEMBER 19TH!
