Mishka is a 5-year-old spayed female. She's now UTD on shots and freshly groomed! Mishka came to me when her people moved and decided they didn't want her, so she's temporarily living with me. She is thriving here and seems to feel safe and happy, probably for the first time in a while, as she spent the last year living in an attic in her own filth with minimal care. Because she's had it so rough and she's doing so well now, I really want her to go to an only-pet home where she will have an easier transition and not feel threatened or upset by the presence of other cats or dogs. She does NOT like other animals, although she has lived with a small dog in the past and I would be willing to consider a home with one small dog if owners are willing to meet. I do think Mishka would be fine with just about any sort of human family, including gentle children. (She's been much less moody since we got the mats cut out of her fur--those hurt!) She's not comfortable being picked up at this point, but she loves to rub all over you and be petted, and she will come running when you call her, roll around belly-up for a minute, and then proceed to give you kisses and pat you with her paw to ask for more pets--it is the absolute cutest thing. She's also content just to sit nearby if you're working on something, and she doesn't pester. She is starting to play and especially enjoys chasing a feather or a ball. I know an only-pet home is a big ask, but she will be a wonderful cat for whatever person or family she ends up with--her forever must be out there somewhere! Mishka will come with two litter boxes, food, litter, dishes, toys, etc. There is no fee; however, I will require a vet reference (personal references if first pet) and a home check. Willing to travel to get her to a good home. I will be very picky about where she goes as I don't want her hurt again.
