Seeking classical/flamenco guitar mentor

Meets

Quincy MA

Description

I don’t know if this is an odd request so please bear with me. I’m a 35 year old who’s played guitar for 1 year and 4 months. I started classical and flamenco specially a couple months ago and it’s my absolute passion. I was wondering, does there happen to be anyone in the Boston/south shore area who might be interested in being a bit of a mentor to a very new classical/flamenco student? I’m not sure if that’s the right way to put it, but essentially I always play alone, I have a fabulous teacher but he’s in another state so we do Skype lessons. (I’m not looking to replace my teacher at all, just want a guitar friend I can play with and learn some stuff from along the way) The further along I get in this journey the more desire I have to be physically around those who are passionate about the same kind of music I am. Preferably players who are way above my skill set and can offer advice and constructive criticism and inspiration and maybe just someone to play with and learn from. I think it’s so important to be around like minded (and hopefully kind, supportive) individuals in this guitar journey. If anyone in the area is interested or if you have any suggestions I’d love to know :) I just want to improve and I feel a great way to do that is to connect with other musicians.
