Machine Extrusion Operator PAY RATE : $20-$22/hr depending on experience. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Lanthrop, CA Job Scope The Extrusion Operator is to be proficient in producing pet food kibbles within set specification, while organizing changeovers with minimal lost time. This person must be capable of assisting with performing routine equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting quality concerns as needed. Specific Skill Requirements & Responsibilities • Must be proficient in the knowledge of product specifications. • Must have overall knowledge and ability to operate extruders, dryers, coolers, fat coaters, dye and fat injection systems, fresh meat grinding and injection systems, and capable of performing routine adjustments and changeovers. • Must be proficient in the knowledge of determining and regulating feed, fat, and water rates. • Must have capability to differentiate product dies and demonstrate capability to set up die plates and knife drive assemblies. • Responsible to perform quality checks for product specifications including bulk density, piece size uniformity, moisture content, and nutrient content. NIR unit capability is required. • Must be proficient in the knowledge of ration screener, grinders, and grinding bin capacities. • Responsible to organize changeovers with minimal time. • Responsible for organized record keeping of shift production. General Skill Requirements • Must have ability to accept temporary assignment changes to assist other areas of the plant, maintaining a positive, professional attitude. • Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of product routinely, and climbing a ladder to assist in the maintenance/cleaning of equipment from a catwalk as needed. • Must be certified to operate forklifts. • Must maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule. • Must work in a safe, professional manner at all times. • Must report accidents or property damage to supervisor immediately Interested?
