Can someone please help get the heat working in our house

Our heat will not work we have kids and I’m chronically ill and have a hard time regulating my body temperature because of it. We replaced our thermostat but that didn’t help and I really don’t want us to go through winter without heat. We are both at a strict income due to being on disability and can’t afford to pay an electrician. I’m getting worried with summer getting close to an end and we still couldn’t find help
