Today's GOP, also known as the "Don't Tread On My Rights to Tread on You" Party and the "Law and Order" party, is The American ISIS. If it looks like a duck, if it walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck...it's a duck. The GOP looks like ISIS, walks like ISIS, sounds like ISIS, and thus is The American ISIS. The GOP shares much more in common with the Middle Eastern ISIS than they with do the Tea Party patriots in Boston so many years ago, and whose name they disgrace today. What character traits do they share with the Middle East ISIS? Here are the similarities, and there is no dispute: Ideological purity. Compromise as weakness. A fundamentalist belief in scriptural literalism. Denying science. Unmoved by facts. Undeterred by new information. A hostile fear of progress. A demonization of a education. A need to control women's bodies. Severe xenophobia. Tribal mentality. Intolerance of dissent. A pathological hatred of the U.S. government. Let’s add: The ISIS Head Fascist, Donald Trump, wants to deport all Mexicans. The ISIS Head Fascist, Donald Trump, wants to “close the internet.” The ISIS Head Fascist, Donald Trump, wants to ban people immigrating to the US. The ISIS Head Fascist, Donald Trump, has no plan for anything. He’s a blowhole. The ISIS Head Fascist, Donald Trump, has embraced the KKK and White Supremacists. It is sad and unfortunate that we have to be subjected to their idiocy, but this is the world wide web, and in it you have to take the bad (The American ISIS aka The GOP) with the good.
