Aerotek is hiring Machine Operators for immediate starts at our location in Northfield. This position is a 90 day contract-to-union hire position with competitive pay, immediate benefits and PTO accrual on day 1. Once a permanent contract is extended, employees will be full union members. This facility is climate controlled and it's staff is very community oriented with a high contract-to-permanent conversion rate. Machine Operators are starting at $18.70/hr and with shift/position differential can earn up to $22.70/hr. These are large roll machines that put the material through various adhesive chemicals to provide strength Loads and unloads rolls of material from machines as required by the job Performs routine visual checks on work in process. Performs routine maintenance on processing equipment as needed Makes adjustments to speed, tension, timing, temperature and related variables as needed to meet specifications Adds solvents and other chemicals to processing equipment as specification or work order indicates. Shifts: 2nd: 2:30p --> 10:30p Monday - Friday 3rd 10:30p --> 6:30a Sunday - Friday OVERTIME: When required, overtime is mandatory on 2nd and 3rd shift. Mandatory OT for 3rd shift would be Friday nights, 2nd shift on Saturday.
