Dear Home Owners, My name is Jessica Smith and I’m the mother of two adorable children and wife of an amazing husband. Throughout my life I have been blessed again and again as God has so graciously provided for me and my family. This past year has been rough for me and my family, as I’m sure it has been for many of you as well. Before Covid came fully into effect we were blessed to find out we were expecting our second child! However, many of the joyous moments that are often anticipated for future parents were stripped away due to “visitor restrictions” from doctor offices and hospitals. Even at our daughters’ birth, my husband unfortunately missed her delivery due to illness and hospital policy. The birth of my daughter was one of the greatest moments of my life! However, as time has passed these past four months since she has been born, we’ve come to realize that our home is becoming too small for the four of us. Therefore, I’m writing today in search of a new home for our family. I’m unable to work due to health reasons and the cost of childcare. Because of this my husband has taken on two jobs and made it possible for me to stay home and raise our amazing children. However, Covid caused my husband to lose his second job for several months leaving us with bills to pay and only one income to provide. Because of this we are searching for a home in Dakota county or very close to Dakota county that has at least 3 bedrooms, a playroom for the children, an attached garage, and fenced backyard. We are looking for a home that is $250,000 or less due to our financial constraints. Our hope is to find our forever home where love and laughter can fill the air and our children can grow up safe and warm. With the housing market as it is right now, it’s very difficult to find a home in our price range that doesn’t sell within a few days for more than the listing price. My hope is that this letter will find someone who’s looking to sell their home not necessarily for profit. But because they feel lead by God to do so. I’m not sure what plan God has for us, but I firmly believe that God plays a major role in our lives. When we listen, he guides us and provides us what we need, when we need it even if it’s not necessarily what we want.
