I am a 50+ solid intermediate amateur guitarist with way too many guitars and gear. Most recently (past 8 years) I've been the frontman of my own band but my bandmates and long time best friends retired to Florida post covid. I studied a bit of music in college and arranged all the classic rock songs we played. By "arranged" I mean dumb them down so we amateurs could play them and sound as close to the original as possible. Truthfully I'm quite proud of what we are able to accomplish. I've archived all the 80 or so charts for the songs we played and probably have another 50 more that we never got around to trying. Think Tom Petty, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Billy Squier; but we also played Rappers Delight, Let's Go Crazy and many more modern songs. We played most Friday nights in the drummer's basement and usually ended up with a cigar and a couple of Bourbons; looking back I think that was the point all along, good friends making music together and pretending we were stars😎 I miss my friends, I miss playing and I guess now I'm looking for what to do next. Any ideas? Central Jersey
