Jyoti’s Seeds for Change Foundation Jyoti’s Seeds for Change Job Description Job Title: Farm Laborer Reports To: Project Manager and Executive Director Location: Jyoti’s Lighthouse Farmstead, Kapaau, HI FTE Status: Part time to start DATE: August 2022 POSITION SUMMARY: Ranch Laborer for a non-profit agroforestry and farming community project in Kapaau, HI, capable and interested in performing the following tasks: Land maintenance – mowing, clearing, propagation, planting, chipping, irrigating, pruning, composting, soil building/enriching, harvesting, fencing; Road and field trail maintenance - keep right-of-ways mowed and passable; Building/structure repair, maintenance and construction; Equipment, tool, and supply maintenance and organization - keep tools organized and clean. Report any issues; Heavy Equipment operation, and maintenance; Promotion of our non-profit mission; Regular reporting to the Operations Manager on progress, ideas and obstacles, Work together with the Operations Manager and employees to identify solutions; Administrative functions – track hours, organize receipts, provide regular updates/reports to the operations manager, participate in group/staff meetings/calls as requested. We are willing to train someone who exhibits a strong and reliable work ethic, and who has a genuine interest in regenerative agriculture. PAY: Commensurate with experience Potential for upward movement within the Foundation, and for full time status with benefits and housing after a review period.
