About Vernon Fox III: When you listen to Vernon Fox III, you’ll hear his unmistakable passion for Jesus and his love for youth advocacy. Best known for his tenure in the NFL for 8 seasons (2002-2009), Vernon played for the San Diego Chargers, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, and Denver Broncos. Before that he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Fresno State University where he was a two-time All-Conference Defensive Back, an Academic All-American, and an Academic Heisman award finalist. Having served in ministry for over a decade, Vernon is currently the lead Pastor of Salt Church International—a church plant in Las Vegas, Nevada. He recently retired in 2020 from his role as head football coach for seven years at Faith Lutheran High School. At Faith Lutheran, he not only brought the team into a winning record and led the Crusaders to numerous championships, he also helped students learn how to engage their faith and make a difference through his school’s partnership with World Vision Ignite. Today, Vernon also serves as an international speaker, life coach, corporate consultant, author, and youth advocate. He has been married to wife Tai for 17 years and together they have two teenagers.
