Keynote Speaker: Ryan Polly, PH.D., M.Ed., (he/him/his), Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at MaineHealth.Quinn Gormley,(she/her/hers), Executive Director, MaineTrans.Net will provide a Transgender Introductory Primer training. The Transgender Introductory Primer is ideal for a variety of professionals in the helping and health professions. During this training, you will learn basic terminology and theory, how to ask for pronouns, health disparities facing the community, resiliency factors, gender transition paths and support needs, and targeted best practices. There will be a section on LGBTQ+ cancer treatments and a story collection from trans cancer patients/survivors. Providers will have an opportunity following the training to list themselves in MaineTrans.Net's community health database. CEUs are available for this training. We will collaborate to identify transportation support service needs for Maine cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers two years into COVID-19 and reactivate MICN's Transportation Task Force.Overview and updates on the Maine Cancer Plan 2021-2025 metrics.Opportunities for Networking with colleagues from around the state.
